Accessibility
tcktd is available on iPhone and web. We aim to make logging and sharing live events usable with the accessibility features built into your device and browser. This page summarizes what we support today and how to turn on related settings.
Available on iOS and web. Some features depend on your operating system or browser. Label coverage varies by screen and continues to improve.

| VoiceOver | Many primary screens, including feed, search, settings, log event, and profile, use spoken labels on buttons, switches, tabs, and list rows. |

| Voice Control | Many controls include accessibility labels aligned with on-screen text where practical, so voice commands can target buttons and switches. |
| Larger Text | Respects system text sizing up to 200% on primary screens, including sign-in, feed, log, profile, settings, and stats. Fixed-size decorative trophy emoji and avatar initials stay capped so layouts remain usable. |
| Dark Interface | Light and dark themes are available. The app can follow your system appearance preference or an in-app theme choice. |
| Differentiate Without Color Alone | Many selection states use labels, switch positions, or fill changes in addition to color, for example selected tabs and toggle switches. |
| Sufficient Contrast | Default light and dark themes use readable text contrast on backgrounds and surfaces. Custom accent colors may vary. |
| Reduced Motion | Some decorative animations respect system Reduce Motion (for example segment toggles and onboarding loaders). Other motion, including the in-app tutorial, may still animate. |

| Captions | tcktd can play user-uploaded event videos with native device controls. The app does not add captions or subtitles to user-generated media, and there is no in-app scripted video with dialogue. |

Turn on accessibility features
Most tcktd accessibility support comes from your device or browser. On iPhone, open Settings → Accessibility to enable:
- VoiceOver: Settings → Accessibility → VoiceOver
- Voice Control: Settings → Accessibility → Voice Control
- Larger Text: Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Larger Text
- Reduce Motion: Settings → Accessibility → Motion → Reduce Motion
- Increase Contrast: Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Increase Contrast
On web, use your browser’s zoom or text-size settings. tcktd also respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting where supported in the UI.
Known limitations
- Screen reader and Voice Control coverage varies by screen; not every flow has been audited end to end.
- Custom theme colors may affect contrast compared with the default light and dark themes.
- Web and native apps are similar but not identical; some layouts differ by platform.
- Fixed-size decorative elements (trophy emoji badges, avatar initials) do not scale with Larger Text.
- The in-app tutorial uses motion and highlights that do not currently respect Reduce Motion.
- System pickers (photos, OAuth sign-in, share sheets) are controlled by iOS or the browser.
- User-uploaded event photos and videos are member content; tcktd does not add captions to that media.
